After extensive research on the niche market, the next step is tochoose a particular product or service. One must make sure there isindeed a market for an intended product. It is a waste of time, effortand cost if one has already developed a product to its final stagebefore finally realizing that there is no market for this productanywhere.

Some may choose a product which is already on themarket with success, or the idea to the product. However, it is notadvisable to do copy the product, not at least with a littlereconstruction and modification to the existing product. A little bitof uniqueness from the original product will distinguish between thetwo products.

People should research on the existing product, asking the consumers' opinions on the current product and improve theproduct based on the feedbacks. Thus this will enable improvement ofthe current product based on the demand and needs of the users. Theusers of a product play a major role in providing ideas forimprovements of a product. Although not all people will be voting forthe same needs, one can always make a survey and from there determinethe main need that people involved in the survey want to see.
Some of the strategies used in surveys are by:

1. Takingadvantage of the internet which is widely available globally. Anindividual can make a web page asking for opinions of the peopleworldwide.

2. Making the questions short and simple. People oftenget discouraged to proceed answering further questions if they have toread long questions and choose answers from a long list. Surveyor mustkeep everything simple for the visitor and able to get enoughinformation from them.

3. Making it clear for the participants tounderstand what they are taking part in. This can attract moreparticipants as they know the purposes of their opinions are and theyknow what topics are involved in the survey.

4. Providing freereports on the outcome of the survey to all participants. The surveyorshould make a summary of the results and send it to all participants.

5. Using solo mailings offered by any newsletter. This way, one will be able to advertise its link to the survey.

Ifone follows the steps advices, people will be able to find the bestfeedbacks and will be able to make improvements based on those. Themarket is important, and this is all because of consumers. The opinionsfrom consumers are very significant in success of a product.
